A Day At Fort JadhavGadh, Pune – Review

I recently visited Fort JadhavGadh in Pune for a quick stay. The place is known because it is an actual fort which is turned into a hotel now, more on that and the actual stay is coming up later in the blog. How To Reach Fort JadhavGadh, Pune So, the place is around a good 3 to 4 hours away from Mumbai, including a quick pit stop. Up until you get off the Mumbai-Pune expressway, it is quite normal but after that your travel time depends on the Pune traffic. Also, the last stretch of the drive is through the interior village roads, so that slows you down a bit because you can’t speed there much. For context, we left from Mumbai at around 11.30 am and reached by 3.15 pm, with a 10 minute pit stop. Once we reached, the exterior of the place takes you back a century and you might as well be a princess returning to your fort. They have done a good job maintaining the facade and the place. However, do keep in mind that you would need to climb several staircases to get around the place. Th

Mumbaiyya and Mumbaikar Mumbaikar, The person who stays in Mumbai is called Mumbaikar. This name generated when Bombay was renamed Mumbai, the Bombayites became Mumbaikars instead of Mumbaites. It is a complete Swadeshi transformation of the name. Many of the Marathi surnames end in 'Kar' showing originating place of the person, the same theory was applied here. Typical Mumbaikar is very easy going person who mixes up with crowd and interacts with others in local slang of Hindi (Mumbaiyya), This interaction is normally seen in public transport and street. The personality of Mumbaikar is mistaken with rudeness (Reader's Digest Survey) due to the language used in common i.e. Mumbaiyya. Commonly strangers are called 'Boss' or with a noise made with lips called 'Mucchh'. Although ladies are always respected and called Madam or Bhen-ji. Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya... Just saw the movie “Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya”, and to be honest I liked it.. I can even say that I loved it. It’s the kind of movie which you watch when you just want to pass sometime or just get in touch with your romantic side. And what a change for audience with this movie because all the movie releasing these days are not the typical bollywood romance types and people like me who love they typical bollywood masala movie miss such movies. So people who love bollywood movies, you gotta watch this movie!!! Rietesh and Genelia both are just adorable throughout the movie, genelia perfectly suits her bubbly character and Rietesh well he just made me fall more in love with him ( sad that he is married, but happy that he married Genelia they compliment eachother ) you cant ignore the music here as well.. the music is awesomely done by Sachin Jigar. So well go watch now!!!! J

After a long week, it was finally time for the weekend. She couldn’t wait to get home. She checked both Ola and Uber and they both had surge prices, so they were going to charge her more than double the usual fare to get me home. She thus decided to opt for a pool, hoping she will be lucky enough to not share my cab with anyone. Poetry by Love and Cheesecake, Bandra - Review

If you are looking for a chic place for your breakfast with the girls, this might be the place for you. The pretty looking place also serves yummy food. I have honestly only tried desserts here and they are delicious! I am soon planning to go there for breakfast as well. It is a little cramped but they do have a seating area upstairs, I honestly like to sit on the ground floor. I also tried their cold coffee, nice but not excellent. Nothing extraordinary but on a hot summer Mumbai afternoon, this can be really refreshing and welcoming. We had a Belgian Chocolate Marquise, Devil’s Desire and a Hazelnut Coffee Frappe All of it was absolutely yum, the Belgian Marquise was soft and creamy with an almost melt in mouth texture. The Devil’s Desire come in a bar form with a browny core, again, super delicious. The frappe however was average. Make sure to take a couple of pictures at this place for your Instagram, the place is beautiful.
