April Just Flew By

At the beginning of this year, I was determined to give attention to this blog and post more. It went well until April and then I got off track.

I knew this would happen, but I was expecting it to happen in the first few weeks and not after three months.

But here we are, I slipped and now as we start May, I am trying to discipline myself again.

Do you also get off track? How do you get back on? How do you find the discipline to blog regularly? Let me know! Help your girl out!

  1. I went off track twice. Thought I was getting mad. Then I realized I will be more mad if I don't express over blog.
I feel if you are convinced it is peer to peer (the concept behind internet) in blog too then maybe you will not be off track.

  2. I do get off track, and I'm not sure what makes me go back, but I always see to do it.

  3. I am glad you are back into blogging. I did not get off track. I purposely stopped blogging for 2 years. Whenever we went on vacation, my mind started to think what to blog instead of enjoying the vacation. So I stopped blogging for 2 years. Lesson for me: Enjoy life. Don't think about blogging all the time.

  4. I think it is about knowing your "why." Why are you blogging? Is it something you want to do or something you feel like you need to do. I love book blogging, I love the engagement and seeing what others are reading. I have another blog that I started years ago when we lived overseas as an easy way to keep people up to date with what's going on with us. I still do that, but since we don't live overseas I feel I don't have as much that is interesting to write about...so it is very irregular. I want it to be regular but I struggle.

  5. I find I get off track when I don't have anything interesting to write about. I don't like filling my blog with too many empty posts. So I guess I would say active outside activity usually becomes good writing material.

  6. It can be super easy to fall off track. I keep a schedule on my computer along with documents of blog post ideas in case I need them. Wishing you a wonderful May!

  8. It's not easy to stop life from getting in your way when you want to be consistent with your blog. Don't give up and enjoy every moment you CAN dedicate to your blog! :D

  9. I make a monthly plan of the posts I want to write, but of course I can get off track and not post for a week or so. I don't sweat it because blogging should be fun and it shouldn't feel like a chore.

  10. It definitely can be difficult to stay consistent, and sometimes a short break is just necessary. Keeping daily to-do lists has helped me a lot, and always trying to get the hardest thing done at the beginning of the day makes the rest of the day easier, too! You're doing great, Pooja!
