March has been such an eventful month for me. Went for two quick trips and honestly, it was much needed. With work getting more hectic each passing day, a time out just to spend time with friends and precious.
One of the trips was with a girl friend and honestly the amount of time I thought about how safe it would be, if we will be able to find proper transportation etc. was something to take notice of. I rarely think of such things when travelling with guy friends. Surprising how we just throw caution to the wind when in a group or travelling with a man, but the moment it is two girls, several aspects need to be taken into consideration.
However, coming to the actual travel, I went to two places – Fort JadhavGadh, Pune and Moonstone Hammock, Alibaug. The Pune blogpost is already up on the blog, the Alibaug one should follow soon.
Now that the summer is intense in Mumbai, the only places I look forward to going to is one with a swimming pool. Also, life update – I kinda, sorted, learnt how to swim. Not that I am good at it, but I could do one lap of the pool without touching my feet to the floor. I count this as progress!
How was March 2022 for you?

Waiting read your Alibaug blog post soon. How was my March 2022? Glued to TV watching March Madness. That is college basketball tournaments in USA.
ReplyDeleteAlibaug would be up soon!
DeleteMy only reference to March Madness is an episode around it in How I Met Your Mother! :D
O, all of us have been longing to travel, haven't we been?
ReplyDeleteMarch was a month of travel for me too, as you would have seen from my blog.
Right time learn to swim! Hope you make progress as you have lots of opportunities to get into the pool with the temperature going up steadily.
Yup yup!
DeleteI am already looking forward to the time I would be in the pool again! So hot ya now in Mumbai
Seems to be a great March 2022 for you with work and fun together.
ReplyDeleteJust another routine month for me. Away from kids and wife. Alone with my mother here. A half military life in March 2022.
Routine is also good at times, I find it relaxing!
DeleteCongratulations on learning how to swim. It's such an important skill. I'm looking forward to your photos of your trip to Moonstone Hammock, Alibaug!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteIt would be up soon!
As someone who learnt to swim at age 30 and is still scared of the deep end, I salute and rejoice in your progress:) Thank you for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to get out and got places. March, here in my town in the Us has been cold and windy. Ohhh congrats on learning how to swim. Have a lovely day.
ReplyDelete"Surprising how we just throw caution to the wind when in a group or travelling with a man, but the moment it is two girls, several aspects need to be taken into consideration. " THIS.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I love going on trips with my girl friends, there is just less planning and worry when there's a guy in the trip. It makes a lot of difference.
Well done! Congratulations on your achievement in swimming! I learnt it in my late thirties as well. Learning needs interest, not age!
ReplyDeleteAlways fun to travel ~ enjoy ~

Here I say everyone should learn three skills when they are young-- how to swim, how to skate (rollerblades or on ice), and how to ride a bike. Recently, I added how to drive a car. To many young kids around here don't want to get their drivers license anymore.
ReplyDeleteNice to be able to go to 2 places on your trip, always be careful when traveling no matter who with. :)
ReplyDeleteBoth of your trips sound amazing and refreshing! And that's so exciting you learned how to swim!!!
