Support E-Commerce Stores Without Spending Money

The Vocal For Local cause has caused a lot of stir in the country. Several people now understand the importance of shopping local and supporting home-grown brands. And while shopping local is important, it is not always possible. The buyers also have a budget and a financial limit that they should abide by.

But did you know, that there is a way of supporting local e-commerce websites/stores without spending money?

One of the biggest block that e-commerce websites face is online marketing and reach. Helping them out in this endeavour would cost you nothing more than 10 minutes of your time but would immensely benefit the brand.

Review Their Products
Positive reviews and a good product rating can give new potential consumers a push to go ahead and make the purchase. It really can quicken the purchase process thus benefitting the business owner. Thus, if you genuinely like a product that you purchased, do not hesitate and write a review on their social media or website.

Share Their Products On Your Social Media
Of course the next thing is to put a post or story on your social media stating that you liked their product. Tag them so they too can re-share your post. You can just copy past the above review as a caption for this post, this would reduce your work as well.

Interact With Their Social Media Posts And Stories
Social Media is simple in a way, more engagement means the reach increases. Thus, interact with your favourite store’s social media post. Like it, comment on it, or react to their stories. This would tell the social media platform that the post is interesting and would thus push it out to more people. Thus benefitting the business.

Tag Their Products On Your Social Media Posts
And the most obvious, if the product (clothing, accessories, decor or food item etc.) is in a picture you are posting on your social media or blog. Tag the brand! It would be better if you can share a link. Better yet, ask the brand to create an affiliate link for you, so that you also earn a percentage of the sale.

  1. Excellent ideas. I have 2 ideas for whatever they are worth. Tell your family and friends about the local store. I mean word of mouth advertising. Also, if you read an article about a local store/business, repost it.
