Maybelline New York Superstay 24 Color Lipstick - Test and Review

I bought the Maybelline New York Superstay 24 Color 2 Step Lipstick this weekend. The lipstick claims to stay on for 24 hours! I decided to test the product and vlogged the entire day to see how the lipstick keeps up. You can watch the vlog here:

The shade I have is 025 Keep Up The Flame.

It is a two-step process, after you apply the lipstick wait for 2 minutes till it dries and then apply the balm that comes with it. Although the lipstick stays on, you may need to apply the balm couple of times in a day. I did try applying the Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm once, and the lipstick did transfer. So I assume you have to use the balm that comes along with lipstick for it to stay for 24 hours and for it to be nontransferable.

It comes in a variety of colour groups including, Brown, Coral, Neutral, Orange, Pink, Purple and Red

When I first applied the lipstick, it felt dry and sticky. After applying the balm it was fine and felt like any other lipstick. It did dry up after around 2 hours and I had to reapply the balm. It did not transfer or bleed or fade away. The second time, I tried using the Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm and it did transfer on the coffee cup. It does feel a little sticky after two hours of applying the balm but the colour does stay on. 

You need to use a makeup remover or coconut oil to remove the lipstick (I use coconut oil every day to remove my makeup) 

The colour is long lasting and does stay with you throughout the day.

HOW TO USE/APPLY (as mentioned on their website)

Step 1. Apply liquid lip color to clean, bare lips. 

Step 2. Allow two minutes to dry, then apply the ultra-conditioning balm to seal in moisture. 

Step 3. Reapply balm as needed. 

Step 4. Remove with an oil-based makeup remover.
